Rebecca and Daniel

John Muir and Marin Headlands Elopement

On their eleventh anniversary in John Muir Forest, Rebecca and Daniel married, followed by a day of galavanting through the Marin Headlands with me. Their love is charming to those given privy to see it, and I instantly felt admiration for all they have been through together. Rebecca and I had “met” previously on an online forum for creative women. She inspired me with her eloquence in the written word and her kindness. Daniel and I met for the first time just before the ceremony. It’s impossible not to like him when listening to his admiration of the enormous redwood trees and seeing his deep and laughing love for Rebecca. The ceremony was just the four of us, Rebecca, Daniel, our lovely officiant, and myself. Oh, and of course, the myriad of onlookers from every part of the world thrilled to clap and congratulate from afar. After the ceremony, we grabbed lunch at a perfectly quaint diner and found our way to the majestic Marin Headlands, which awed us with its rolling green hills and views of the crashing sea. By the end, we felt like dear friends, and I am so honored to know them and their love.
