Portland family photographer creating artistic,

story-rich imagery for thoughtful families.

And they said, “What a beautiful life.”

Based in Portland and available across the Pacific Northwest, I offer lifestyle family photography that feels honest and visually rich. My sessions are relaxed, connection-led, and quietly joyful.

A woman is relaxing in a bathtub with two children playing with her, all enjoying bath time.

You’ve heard it before: the moments are fleeting. And in the thick of it, you think—I can’t photograph this chaos.
But this is exactly the chaos you’ll want to remember.

The crooked smiles. The weight of your child in your arms. The sunlight on your kitchen table.

Your house doesn’t have to be perfect. You don’t either.
You just have to show up—with that quiet, endless love that turns the ordinary into art.

So often, mamas are behind the camera. But what if we turned the lens around?
My gentle approach ensures you feel at ease as you step into the frame—not just as a subject, but as the artist behind it all.

Spring and summer are filling with light, wildflowers, and fleeting moments worth remembering. I’m currently booking family sessions through August 2025 — let’s make something beautiful together.

Shall we turn your memories into art?

Whenever I visit my childhood home, I find myself drawn to the old closet at the top of the stairs—the one where my mother kept our family photo albums. I peel back the brown seventies binders, the one tinged with yellowing inserts, and leaf through photographs of my family.

I see my mom and dad in their first house. My Uncle Jimmy, who died young, helping them fix it. Both sets of grandparents, side by side, laughing at my oldest sister’s first birthday. My mother looks beautiful.

I see my three sisters with suspicious-looking haircuts giggling by a roadside fair.  I see a photo of me around age 8 that I had never seen before. Alone, on a dock, in the middle of a lake with a fishing pole in my hand. It’s one of my very favorites.

If my childhood home were to burn down, these dusty albums would be the first thing I’d gather into my arms. They hold our stories. Our personalities. Our love.

That’s what I want to create for you.
Something honest. Something that lasts.

Even in the chaos. Even through the tears. This is our one precious life (that I know of). What could be more beautiful than turning it into art?

These aren’t just photos. They’re the smell of sun-warmed hair. The hush of early morning light.

I don’t chase perfect—I seek the real. The beauty in the undone. The laughter tangled with tears.

The chaos, the closeness, the moments that catch you off guard and stay with you forever.

A woman and six children, including a shirtless boy, gather around a window with trees outside. The woman is sitting on the windowsill, and the children are standing close to her, some touching her or leaning on her. The scene appears contemplative.

LOVE NOTES

"Working with Kelli was such a joy. Her laid-back approach made the early morning shoot effortless, and I was blown away by the beautiful images she captured. I knew I’d love the photos, but I was amazed at how artfully she captured our family, especially considering it was done virtually. These images reflect the love and connection I feel with my children, and I will treasure them forever. I can’t wait to work with Kelli again!"

A woman and four children stand against a plain wall; the woman, pregnant, is leaning her head on the girl next to her, who rests her head on her shoulder; the boy in the center is being carried by a red-haired girl with a serious expression; another boy with red hair is being carried on the boy's shoulders, and the girl at the end has long red hair and looks away.

“Holy shit, Kelli!!!

These are amazing. I've already watched the slideshow twice and am probably going to watch it so many times it's sort of embarrassing.

I am so grateful for these.”

“OH MY GOODNESS!!! I love these images so so so much, Kelli. The movement and blocking and light and observational lens. Truly everything I hoped for and more. Fine art of my family and home. These are so special.

Thank you.💜💜💜💜”

“I LOVE THEM! Your ability to frame a scene and capture light is breathtaking. I will cherish the photos forever. I will refer you to friends near and far. And I'd love to work with you again in the future as well!”

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Perfect. I don't want them to. The most beautiful moments happen when everyone forgets about the camera and just lives. The wiggles, the chaos, the realness—that's exactly what we're after.

  • Your home doesn't need to be a magazine spread—it needs to be yours. The toys scattered across the floor, the slightly rumpled bedsheets, the artwork taped to the fridge—these are the details that make your story authentic. I'll find the light and the beauty in your everyday spaces.

  • Almost everyone says this. My approach is gentle and unposed. Think of me as a friendly observer, not a director. We'll talk, laugh, and move naturally. The most common feedback I get? "I can't believe how comfortable that felt."

  • Wear what makes you feel like you. Colors that bring you joy, textures that feel good against your skin. Keep it simple and authentic. And yes, outfit changes are welcome if that helps you feel more yourself in different spaces. Pst. I’ll also send you a guide to help!

  • Your our full gallery will be delivered within 3 weeks of our session. I try to always send sneak peeks beforehand though!
