San Francisco Short Sessions

These aren't about squeezing an entire family photo shoot into twenty frantic minutes. With 45 minutes, we have enough time to settle in, wander a little, let the kids warm up, and allow the good stuff to happen naturally.

I'll guide you when you need it, but I'm mostly interested in what happens when you stop performing for the camera and simply spend time together.

The resulting photographs are a little bit portraiture and a little bit storytelling.

45-minute session
$750 for new clients
$650 for past clients

Your session includes:

  • 45 minutes of photography

  • A thoughtfully edited online gallery

  • High-resolution digital images

  • Personal printing rights

  • My guidance before and throughout the session

Who they're for

Families. Couples. Parents and kids. People who want photographs of themselves in a place they love.

You don't need matching outfits. You don't need perfectly behaved children. And you definitely don't need to know what to do in front of a camera.

The Sessions

I'll only be opening a small number of sessions in each area, which allows me to keep the experience relaxed and give each family the time and attention it deserves.

San Francisco · Berkeley + Oakland · Marin · San Juan Bautista

I'll share the specific dates and remaining availability for each area during the booking process. If you have a preferred location or date in mind, you can let me know when you schedule your consultation.

Choosing your location

I'm very open to photographing you somewhere that feels personal to your family; your neighborhood, a favorite park, a beach, a city street you love, or somewhere you've always wanted photographs.

Because these sessions sometimes are scheduled back-to-back, I'll be working within a handful of locations around San Francisco and the greater Bay Area rather than traveling anywhere in the region for each individual session.

When you inquire, we'll choose a location together based on the kind of photographs you're drawn to and what makes sense for your family.

A note for past clients

If I've photographed you before, your session is $650 as a thank-you for coming back.
