San Francisco Short Sessions
These aren't about squeezing an entire family photo shoot into twenty frantic minutes. With 45 minutes, we have enough time to settle in, wander a little, let the kids warm up, and allow the good stuff to happen naturally.
I'll guide you when you need it, but I'm mostly interested in what happens when you stop performing for the camera and simply spend time together.
The resulting photographs are a little bit portraiture and a little bit storytelling.

The Sessions
I'll be in the Bay Area for a limited number of days, with sessions grouped by location.
SAN FRANCISCO
Two days of sessions, October 22, 23rd and 25th
Photographing throughout the city, from favorite neighborhoods and parks to streets, beaches, and beautiful corners of San Francisco.
BERKELEY + OAKLAND
One morning and afternoon, October 23rd
For families and couples who want something a little more East Bay—neighborhoods, gardens, architecture, movement, and all the character these cities have to offer.
MARIN
Limited availability
A quieter, more expansive setting for those drawn to hills, trees, coastline, and golden California light.
SAN JUAN BAUTISTA
A very small number of sessions
I'll be in San Juan Bautista on Saturday for a family celebration and will be opening a couple of sessions that afternoon and the following morning.
If you love old California architecture, warm light, and a setting that feels a little outside the ordinary, this one is for you.
Specific dates and availability will be shared when booking.
Choosing your location
I'm very open to photographing you somewhere that feels personal to your family—your neighborhood, a favorite park, a beach, a city street you love, or somewhere you've always wanted photographs.
Because these sessions are scheduled back-to-back, I'll be working within a handful of locations around San Francisco and the greater Bay Area rather than traveling anywhere in the region for each individual session.
When you inquire, we'll choose a location together based on the kind of photographs you're drawn to and what makes sense for your family.

Sessions are intentionally limited so I can give each one the time and attention it deserves.
Who they're for
Families. Couples. Parents and kids. People who want photographs of themselves in a place they love.
You don't need matching outfits. You don't need perfectly behaved children. And you definitely don't need to know what to do in front of a camera.
A note for past clients
If I've photographed you before, your session is $650 as a thank-you for coming back.
It's one of my favorite parts of this work—getting to photograph people again as their lives change.
